What is a better type of shoe for running about 10 miles a week. A cross trainer, or a Running shoe?
I have been running for about 8 years and I have always used a running shoe. I was just wondering if that is the right type of shoe for distance running or should I switch to a cross trainer shoe. I just want to know for my long term health of my feet and ankles.
I’m pretty sure you’d want a running shoe. I’m not expert, but I’m pretty sure the soul is a little cushier and it can remove more stress from your joints. If you do plan on running that much, I’d advise that you find a way to run in the grass or the dirt to prevent added stress on the knee joints from the concrete roads. Hope this helps you someone
Good luck exercising!
Definitely use a pair of running shoes to stay healthy. If you’re not sure which ones are right, go to a specialty store. A good salesman will check you for over supination or over pronation and match you with the correct model.
I would stick with the running shoes
